The cottage is furnished in a traditional style with a pretty private garden in a very peaceful location. There is a private parking space for guests and there is also free Wi-Fi available. Located just a couple of miles away from the busy port of Falmouth, Penryn has some fine Georgian buildings and a cobbled square. Falmouth is one of the top holiday destinations in the UK with everything from Blue Flag beaches to historic houses and spectacular gardens. Falmouth also stages a number of events throughout the season ranging from the Falmouth Classics yachting festival to the Falmouth Oyster Festival in the autumn.
Bell Cottage is a period-style, single-storey cottage built in 1997 as an extension to The Bell House, which is reputed to have been the refectory of a monastery. The cottage is approached through the lovely landscaped grounds of Kernick Park.
Penryn was given its Charter in 1236 and flourished as a busy port in Tudor times, exporting granite from quarries at nearby Mabe until the last century. The old character of the town has been preserved with some fine Georgian buildings.
